How to Fernando Full Comprehensive Guide (Tank) - Paladins



This article contains the full comprehensive guide to play the blazing knight Fernando including abilities, upgrades (talents), decks and play-style tips. Fernando is a very formidable front-liner tank which focuses on his  powerful defensive abilities.

ABILITIES



LANCE


Lance is a short range flame-thrower that which is Fernando's channeling ability.


SHIELD


You use your mighty shield that will block 7500 damage, however you are unable to attack while using this ability. Use this ability to defend team mates and to hold into an objective.



FIREBALL


This is your only range abilities that should be used wisely when there's a chance of targeting an enemy on sight.



CHARGE


You charge forward at a great speed removing all debuff such as snares or slow effects on you. Use this ability when taking constant damage as an escape tool or offensively to charge and burn down enemies. 


IMMORTAL (ULTIMATE)


You and your allies within 70 feet cannot be brought down below 100hp or affected by Damage Over Time (DoT) for 4 seconds. This ability is best used to hold and objective and will be easily coordinated using voice communication. Your character will emote "You have made Fernando Angry!" when casting this ability.


UPGRADES (DECKS/TALENTS)


 
Your primary upgrade will be Towering Barrier which increases the size of your Shield and increases its Health followed by Evolve which increases you base Maximum Health incrementally.  Feel free to choose the rest of the upgrades once these talents reached maxed. Offensive play-style will require Insurmountable talent which causes damage shield while you're mounted. Field Dressing will provide healing overtime and Launch will increases the distance of Charge. You can utilize other Legendary decks when you acquire them, however, the basic decks will be sufficient enough for you to perform well in battle.
